Training Facility Overview
Established in 2011, Pick View Farm is a premier thoroughbred horse training facility located on 100+ acres in Ocala, Florida. The facility can train over 100 horses and has a dedicated team of 10 full-time employees who provide round-the-clock care, seven days a week. Each evening, horses are housed in secure barns, ensuring a safe and comfortable environment for their training and development. At Pick View Farm, horse welfare and high-quality training are paramount, supported by state-of-the-art infrastructure and a highly skilled team.

Joe Pickerrell, from five generations of horse racing trainers, moved from Chillicothe, Ohio, to Florida at 18. At Courtlandt Farm, he contributed to over $199M in sales in 2018. In 2012, Joe and his wife Courtney founded Pick View LLC. Over the last 12 years, he has achieved a positive ROI through pinhooking. Joe has trained numerous graded stakes-winning horses, establishing Pick View Farm as an industry leader.
Courtney Roberts Pickerrell, with a background in Hunter Jumper and barrel racing, co-founded Pick View LLC with Joe in 2012. Born in Homestead, Florida, she earned an Equine Business Management degree. In 2020, they expanded by purchasing 87 more acres in Ocala and opening Protea Weddings & Events. Courtney and Joe excel in identifying, purchasing, and training weanlings and yearlings, ensuring they are well-prepared for sale as two-year-olds in training.
